Celebration Month For Williamsburg CEOS Club

On Tuesday October 12 at the Williamsburg Historical Foundation Museum the members of the Williamsburg Community Educational Outreach Club celebrated the 90th Birthday of Cassandria Perkins. Blanche Knicely was also recognized for achieving her 85th birthday. Halloween was also celebrated with treats supplied by Linda Spencer.

Burl Post led the lesson on Indoor Herb Gardening sharing the history of herbs and the best way to grow then indoors and to keep them growing to provide a continuous supply of flavoring to foods. Other members participating were Barbara Deeds, Laura Rose, Loretta Shirley, Patty Post and Laura Ann Tiller.

The November club meeting will be held on November 9th at the home of Blanche Knicely who will also be leading the lesson “History of the Star Spangled Banner”. Members are also asked to bring PJ’s and slippers for the children at the Greenbrier Valley Children’s Home.

The lessons are provided by the West Virginia University Extension Service.

So if you’re interested in getting involved in the community come to a meeting. It’s a place to belong, learn, grow and have a good time with wonderful people who know how to make you feel welcome.
