Arrest Made Following Theft At South Fayette Street Laundromat

An arrest has been made regarding the August breaking and entering of the South Fayette Street laundromat in Beckley.

Ayla Analee Plumley, 31, of Beckley, was booked at Southern Regional Jail on Sept. 23 after being captured on video footage using a knife or screwdriver to pry open the laundromat’s office door on Monday, Aug. 30, according to the criminal complaint filed in Raleigh County.

Footage also showed her taking laundry detergent, $30 in change and a customer’s clothing out of a dryer, the complaint states.

A Beckley Police officer was able to identify Plumley as the suspect on Sept. 5 after identifying her by a neck tattoo.

Plumley faces one felony count of breaking and entering.
