A Greenbrier County woman was arrested during the early-morning hours of Monday, December 13 after an intoxicated argument turned physical. Sheena Louise Lockhart, 38, of White Sulphur Springs, has been charged with one count of domestic violence.
At approximately 3:00 a.m. on the date in question, deputies with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the Go-Mart located on Midland Trail East in response to reports of a domestic altercation which had occurred between Sheena Louise Lockhart and her husband. Upon arriving, deputies made contact with Lockhart, and found her to be in an apparent-intoxicated state.
According to the criminal complaint, Lockhart advised deputies that she and her husband “had been involved in a physical altercation.” Lockhart further stated that her husband “had held her against her will in the bedroom of the couple’s apartment,” and that her husband had “picked up a knife during the altercation and that her body had made contact with the blade.”
Deputies did report observing “visible rips in her clothing and physical marks consistent with that type of physical altercation.” However, the “marks on her stomach and breast area that she stated were from the knife, [ ] did not appear to be consistent with that of stab wounds.”
Lockhart’s husband was located by deputies at the couple’s apartment, and also appeared to be intoxicated. The husband did confirm that the couple had been involved in a physical altercation, however, he claimed that Lockhart had been the aggressor, and had “punched him several times causing injuries to his face.” Deputies observed that the husband’s right eye had been blackened, and he had suffered a busted lip.
Lockhart’s husband further advised deputies that “he had pulled a kitchen-style knife during the altercation in an attempt to keep her from continuing to aggressively come after him.
Sheena Louise Lockhart is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail in lieu of a $2,500 cash-bond or surety.
