Florence V. “Flossie” Jones, 87, of Front Royal, VA, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
Flossie was born June 26, 1926, in Rappahannock County, VA, daughter of the late Robert Edward Jones and Frances Pullen Jones.
She retired as a bookkeeper from Gulf Oil and was a longtime member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and close friend, John Emerson “Jep” Pharaoh; two brothers, Russell E. Jones and P. Dan Jones; and one sister, Laura “Dollie” Rickard.
Surviving are one brother, Claude Jones of Lewisburg, WV; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Jones of Winchester, VA, and Bobbie Jones of Yuba City, CA; one brother-in-law, Robert Rickard of Front Royal; and nieces and nephews, Terri, Cyndie, Kenneth, Donald, Kyle, Brian, Ron, Dani, Roseann, Jennifer, David, Kevin, Philip, and Dennis “Eddie.”
Pallbearers will be Robert Rickard, Kenneth Jones, Donald Ray Jones, C. Kyle Jones, Guy Whiteside, Brandon Whiteside, and Trevor Whiteside.
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 28, 2014, at 11 AM at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
