DEFIBAUGH
Charles E. Defibaugh, 76, of Chester, VA went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 19, 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David Defibaugh and Beulah Morgan Defibaugh Wikle; and sister, Doris Brooks; daughter, Pam Defibaugh Neil; brothers, Rex, James, Paul, and Roger Defibaugh.
He is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Gayle Bishop Webb Defibaugh; children, Herb Webb (Nikkie), Patrick (Julie Huff), and Tim Defibaugh (Stephen Copeland); grandchildren, Rudy Humphreys, Herbie, Daniel Webb, Jamesis Webb, and Liam Defibaugh; step-grandchildren, Lavell and Jaiden Washington; brothers, Bill Defibaugh (Louise), Ken Defibaugh (Brenda), John Defibaugh (Jean); sisters, Peggy Lockhart (James) and Ruth Honaker (Lester); and many nieces and nephews.
Charles served an apprenticeship through the Exxon Corporation, as well as a rubber factory in Clifton Forge, VA. He worked for 18 years at Allied Chemical as a millwright and welder. His interests included fishing, camping in the mountains, cooking, gardening, and fixing things around the house; but his joy was teaching the children about Jesus Christ at his church. He was a member of Beacon Hill Church in Hopewell, VA. He never saw a stranger, but would stop people in the neighborhood and ask if they believe in Jesus.
A service will be held, 4 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home of Hopewell, VA.
