UPDATE 2/23 11:40 a.m.
A representative from Mountaineer Gas, Paul Hopkins, stated that they are replacing the entire line on Baker Street W in Lewisburg. They are updating from metal to plastic pipe. Hopkins stated that it would take several days, but they did not anticipate the road being closed every day of the repairs. He further stated that if bad weather and poor road conditions occur during the project it would prevent work for that day.
The Greenbrier County Homeland Security and Emergency Management office issued an alert on February 23 of a road closure. According to this alert, Baker Street W in Lewisburg will be closed during daylight hours until further notice. The reason for this closure is to allow for the repair of a gas line. Mountaineer Gas is handling the repair.
