A Fayette County man was arrested on Thursday afternoon, February 18, after deputies observed him taking part in an alleged drug transaction at a trailer in the Shilo Mobile Home Park. Chanton Andre Claybrooks, 39, of Fayetteville, has been charged with three-counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
According to a statement from Fayette County Sheriff Mike Fridley, “After observing the incident) The deputy received consent to search the home in question where methamphetamines, heroin and firearms were located.
Chanton Claybrooks, of Fayetteville, was arrested and charged. [] He will now await court proceedings.”

This incident remains under investigation.”
Claybrooks is currently being held in Southern Regional Jail on a $35,000 cash-bond or surety.
