MILLER
Buddy Ray Miller of Ronceverte, WV went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2021 at the age of 80 years at his home surrounded by his family.
Buddy was born on May 4, 1940 in Webster Springs, the son of the late Clarence and Faye Rose Miller.
He was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church of Organ Cave, WV. Buddy loved to fish and was a retired coal miner with 27 years of service. He was a member of the CBC Fire Department for 21 years and worked with the EMS at Craigsville, WV. Buddy worked at a rock quarry in North Carolina for 15 years and worked for Performance Heating and Air Conditioning for 9 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Ray Miller.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Vera Jane Cogar Miller, having been married for over 59 years; daughter, Debbie and husband, Ron Ward; son, William and wife, Ellen Miller; brothers, Roger and wife, Roxann Miller of Alabama, Aaron and his wife, Peggy Miller of Ohio; sister, Wilma and husband, Woody of Brewer, KY; sisters-in-law, Peg Martin of Cottle, WV, and Jessie Cogar of Oak Hill, WV; brothers-in-law, Gary Cogar and wife, Rose of Webster Springs, WV and Harold Cogar and special friend, Barbara of Webster Springs.
Buddy’s grandkids are Chad Ward (Kristina), Johnny Ward (Jennifer), Trish Ward, Crystal Ward (Casey Morgan), Junior Ward, Tyler Hanna, Michael Hanna, Heather Clutter (Anthony), Bill Gillion (Amelia Baretto), Jozet Gillion, James Gillion (Kelcee), Angel Gillion, Trenton Miller, Kaitlyn Miller, and Triston Miller. Buddy had many great-grandkids and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services for Buddy will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Organ Cave with Pastor Wes Comer officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 1 p.m. until time of services on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the church.
