The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department posted on social media Thursday, Jan. 7, that they are on the look out for a home confinement escapee.
Gary Ray Blankenship Jr. of Rupert discarded his home confinement bracelet and did not alert authorities to his whereabouts, the sherrif’s department stated in the post.
Blankenship Jr., 34, is 6′ tall and weighs approximately 178 lbs. and is described as having multiple tattoos on both arms, hands and the right side of his neck. He had originally faced charges of wanton endangerment.
Blankenship’s last known location was a family residence in Rupert, W.Va.
Blankenship is wanted for escape from home confinement. He is believed to be traveling in a dark gray, 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.
If anyone knows the whereabouts of Blankenship they are asked to contact the Greenbrier County Home Confinement Office at 304-647-1389, the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department at 304-647-6634, or the Greenbrier County 911 Center at 304-647-7911 (24 hours).
