HANN
Leta Fay Hann, 88, of Lewisburg, formerly of Beelick Knob, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, in the Brier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born August 24, 1932, at Beelick Knob, she was the daughter of the late Lon and Ella Smith Forren.
Leta retired from Rite-Aid in Rainelle. She was a member of the Fairlea First Baptist Church and a 70-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Winolia Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Kimber Hann, Sr.; her step-daughter, Donna Kent; her step-granddaughter, Mandy Kent; four brothers, Fred, Earl, Charles, and Clinton Forren; seven sisters, Mae Young, Thelma Sproles, Betty Bailey, Laura Forren, Mildred Bowyer, Marie Forren, and Gaye Pope; and special friends, Hazel Davis, Louise Kirchner, and Doris Prina.
Survivors include one son, Kimber Hann, Jr. (Rebecca) of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Betty Duckworth (Wayne) of Crawley; one step-son, Keith Hann (Barbara) of Westminster, MD; one brother, Joseph Forren (Flo) of Fairlea; two sisters-in-law, Frances Baugh of Rainelle and Audrey Forren of Brenton; 8 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 31, at Smathers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dallas Smith officiating. Eastern Star rites will be officiated by the Winolia Chapter.
Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Auto. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Please wear a mask and social distance. Friends may call one hour before the service from 12-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
