Members of the Old White Garden Club met outdoors Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22, at the Clifford Family Memorial Bridge on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs to decorate the hanging baskets for the Christmas season. The baskets are filled with fresh, fragrant greenery, rhododendron and dried hydrangea stems, red faux berry picks and bright red Christmas bows.
Preparing the baskets is an annual holiday beautification project for the Old White Garden Club and are in place this year just in time for the City’s upcoming holiday celebration, Winterfest 2020. Pictured enjoying the perfect weather day for decorating outdoors are club members (left to right) Louise Doggett, Mary Collins, Agnes Surbaugh and Terri Thompson. Members who also participated, but not pictured, included June Murphy, Cindy Bennett, Pat Harper, Shelva Burr (and husband, Charles), Susan Stentz (and granddaughters) and Donna Sams-Council.
