Girl Scout troop 37400 has had a busy fall. On Oct. 5 the troop met to earn their woodworker and drawing badges.
On Oct. 17 the troop traveled to Lewisburg Lanterns Pumpkin Farm. On Oct. 19 the troop had a trunk-or-treat meeting to celebrate their founder’s birthday which was on Halloween. On Oct.23 the troop wore mismatched socks for Misfit March Day. On October 23 – 25, leader Jessica Martin represented her council as a delegate for the virtual national convention and member Tonya Martin represented her council by being the only girl to send in a picture from her council.
From October 5 – 24 the troop sold nuts, candies and chocolates. Thanks to local support the troop sold 608 items surpassing their goal of 500 items. This year’s top sellers in the troop were Tonya Martin with 342 items. Sorinea Harris with 77 items and Maddie Sears with 55 items.
On Nov. 2 the troop met to earn their democracy badges. On Nov. 8 the troop enjoyed a story walk through White Sulphur Springs and on Nov. 14 the troop met to have an Investiture and Rededication Ceremony. The next thing on the troops agenda is to deliver nuts and candies, which should be in just in time for Thanksgiving. Again the troop thanks all that supported them for their support.
