The Good Neighbors Community Clothes Closet in White Sulphur Springs is re-opening on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 9 a.m. – noon and will continue to be open every Saturday until further notice. Additionally, the clothes closet will be available the first Monday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sponsored by the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, GNCC offers free clean, gently used clothing for men, women and children, including coats, jackets, sweaters, shoes, work attire and much more.
COVID-19 safety and health precautions will be in place; masks are required, with social distancing allowing no more than three persons browsing at one time. Patrons are requested not to bring their own shopping bags as take-home bags will be provided. Please note the GNCCC has a sufficient inventory of clothing for distribution at this time.
No donations are being accepted, other than winter coats and boots for adults and children. These donations will ONLY be accepted by calling 304-536-1755 to set a day and time to bring items to the church. Absolutely, no donations of any kind should be dropped off at the church without prior arrangements.
The clothing bank is operated by volunteers and serves as an outreach program for residents in the local and surrounding communities. Located on the basement level of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the entrance to the closet area is by outside steps only and is not handicap accessible. EUMC is adjacent to the former WSS Civic Center and parking is available in the church’s front parking area at the Hanna Lane entrance off Dry Creek Road.
