If you, a member of your family or someone you know is going to need help to provide Christmas for their family this year. Please fill out the Penny Pitch application running in this newspaper (on page 3).
The deadline to apply for assistance from Penny Pitch is Friday, November 6, to turn in your application. A volunteer who is helping Penny Pitch will call you for the interview. If your family is eligible, you will be able to go to the local WalMart and purchase the items you were approved to purchase.
The person that interviewed you will call you back and let you know if you were approved, and the amount you have to shop with. Penny Pitch provides warm winter clothing and toys for children at Christmas, and every family we help receives a food box full of staple food items. Our assistance area is limited to the Greenbrier County area.
Our deadline for assistance is in just a few days. Sign up will end on Friday, November 6. So if you need help we need to hear from you and get the application in. You can either drop the application by The West Virginia Daily News office located at 188 Foster St. Lewisburg, or mail it to Penny Pitch, P.O. Box 494, Lewisburg, W.V. 24902.
