Last night the counties of Monroe, Greenbrier and Summers released their unofficial results to the 2020 election.
All three counties have confirmed that the results remain unofficial until they canvass the votes on Monday, Novemeber 9.
In the meantime all three county clerks have confirmed that there are mail-in ballots that still need to be counted.
“Mail-in ballots are still being counted today through tomorrow, and will be included in Monday’s canvass,” said Monroe County Circuit Clerk Donald Evans.
Greenbrier County Circuit Clerk Robin Loudermilk said mail-in ballots were included in the Tuesday night’s counts but any straggling ballots that arrive today will be counted in the Monday vote canvass.
Loudermilk stated that she does not expect very many mail-in ballots to arrive today.
Summers County Circuit Clerk Mary Merritt affirmed that absentee ballots were counted in their tally from Tuesday’s unofficial results but anything arriving later and postmarked November 3 will be included in Monday’s vote canvass.
