A part of U.S. 219 was temporarily shut down on Monday, October 12, due to an automobile accident. According to reports, a cement truck went into a ditch near Ronceverte Hill, causing a partial blockage of the roadway. Greenbrier County Dispatch confirmed that the truck was carrying a full load of cement, and a portion of its contents leaked out. No injuries were reported from the accident. Dispatchers also confirmed that the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident.
