David “Yancy” O’Brien, 45, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at WVU Medical Center in Morgantown.
He was born April 3, 1975 at Grundy, Virginia.
Yancy was a self-employed jack of all trades who enjoyed hunting, camping, driving and all outdoor activities.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edna Pifer and Luther Stacy.
He is survived by his children, O’Shea Rainbow Boone of Fairlea, Rayne Sunshine Miller and Thomas Yancy Miller both of White Sulphur Springs; his mother, Sonja Velez of Lewisburg; his loving companion and fiancé, Sarah Miller of White Sulphur Springs; a sister, Christine Roberts of Shawboro, NC; niece and nephew, Austin Roberts and Emma-Leigh Roberts both of Shawboro, NC; and Many special friends he considered to be family.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m., on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Randy Gillilan officiating. Private interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in White Sulphur Springs at a later date.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 12 noon until the time of service. The family requests that everyone dress casual as David would remember you.
