Although the flood watch expired last night, rain continues through the afternoon and the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Virginia, advises that more showers and thunderstorms are expected today. Some storms may produce locally heavy rainfall and possibly some flooding, mainly west of the Blue Ridge.
Greenbrier Valley residents in areas of streams and rivers may want to check the data on locally placed stream gauges or visit the Greenbrier County Homeland Security’s GC HS EM Facebook page for data provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on current river levels.
