COVINGTON, Va. (WVDN) – Greenbrier West girls basketball improved to 2-0 on the season with an impressive 63-34 win at Covington on Saturday evening.

The lead widened in the third quarter as the Lady Cavaliers outscored the Cougars 13-6. At the end of three, West led 45-22. West distanced themselves even further in the fourth quarter, dumping in 18 points to Covington’s 12 for the 29-point winning margin.

Sophomore Abigail Thomas led Greenbrier West with 15 points and nine steals. Meagan Poticher chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds. Preslee Treadway poured in 12 points with five rebounds and five steals. Brilee Redden continued her hot start with 10 points and four steals.
