The Greenbrier County Republican Committee will be hosting their Rally in the Valley event on Sunday, October 11, at the State Fair of West Virginia fairgrounds in Fairlea. This will be the largest event of it’s kind in the area since last year’s State Fair.
The event will feature a cornhole tournament, a silent auction, slingshot rides, door prizes, food and games. The Thomas Taylor Band will be performing traditional country music, and there will also be an opportunity to interact with state and local candidates, including West Virginia Governor Jim Justice and Congresswoman Carol Miller.
According to Ben Anderson, chairman of the Greenbrier County Republican Committee, all safety precautions are being taken. Each attendee will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver. Each attendee will also have a temperature-scan performed upon arrival, and will be given a mask. Hand sanitizer will be readily available, and social distancing will be strongly recommended.
Food is included with admission. Tickets prices for adults ages 13 and up are $10. Kids ages 7 to 12 are $5. Children under the age of 6 will be admitted free of charge.
