Brigid Stump as Eleven from “Stranger Things”The Halloween holiday left a spooky trail across Greenbrier County as trick or treaters, trunk or treaters, businesses and just plain fun folks dressed up as their favorite alter egos for a day of spooky fun.
Rainelle Medical Center staff travelled to Rainelle Elementary School to hand out sweet treats at the school’s Halloween celebration. White Sulphur Springs Elementary celebrated as well with big fun in the gym.
The annual tailgate trunk or treat, held by Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, gave kids the opportunity to go off-street to pick up their candy at the track near the hospital. Many businesses and organizations participated in the candy giveaway including Patterson and Co. Luxury Real Estate whose team was dressed up as a pack of Skittles.
Some fun folks wore their costumes to work. Angela Ratliff, a 20-year Walmart employee, was the only one dressed up at work early Monday morning. Later in the day, Georgia Holmes went back to “Basics” her job at Expressions salon.
But of course, Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without kids roaming the streets in their costumes, demanding a treat least they play a trick. Area streets were full of young revelers in creative costumes as they knocked on doors and knocked the socks off of everyone else. From scary to cute to outrageously creative, Greenbrier County’s kids brought some big fun on Halloween.
