LEWISBURG (WVDN) – The Greenbrier East volleyball team continued their stellar play on Monday, Oct. 3, when they defeated the Independence Patriots 2-1 and then beat the Summers County Bobcats 2-0.

On the season, East is now 19-5-2.

Here are the final stats from the five total sets:

Dia Sauvage – 4 aces, 31 serve receives, 22 digs

Gracie Gumm- 11 aces, 14 kills, 2 blocks

Alexis Stack- 9 aces, 14 kills, 14 digs

Josi Ervin – 6 aces, 14 serve receives

Peyton Barker – 5 aces

Mackenna McClure- 6 kills

Mollie Pack- 9 kills

Hailey Ervin- 33 assists

Those impressive wins followed three priors when the Spartans defeated Winfield 2-0, Pikeview 2-0 and Winfield again, 2-0 on Saturday. It was also senior day for the teams only senior, Josi Ervin.

The 3-0 day in six total sets have put the Spartans on a roll.

The stats from those six sets are:

Dia Sauvage- 9 Aces, 38 serve receives, 31 digs

Hailey Ervin- 10 Aces, 46 assists, 18 digs

Alexis Stack- 7 Aces, 13 kills, 15 serve receives, 11 digs

Mollie Pack- 14 kills

Gracie Gumm- 21 kills, 5.5 blocks, 13 digs

Jenna Groves- 2.5 blocks

Josi Ervin- 17 serve receives
