The following governmental bodies will hold public meetings this week:

Ronceverte City Council will meet Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at Ronceverte City Hall, 693 Edgar Avenue. On the agenda: wastewater business; water business; building code update and more.

White Sulphur Springs City Council will hold a workshop at city hall on Main Street on Monday, July 11, at 6:15 p.m. On the agenda: reviews with council. The finance committee will meet at 6:45 p.m. City council will meet at 7 p.m. On the agenda: WV Great Barrel Company – financial items; discussion/approval of water and sewer rate increase; bike park, pedestrian bridge, and more.

The Greenbrier County Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, July 12, in special session at 12:30 p.m. at the Kyle and Ann Fort Arts and Sciences Center, 653 Court St., Lewisburg in special session. On the agenda: swearing in of newly elected board members and setting of dates of regular monthly board meetings.

The board will also meet the same day at 1 p.m. in regular session. On the agenda: approval of new or revised policies including determination of employee or independent worker, Hope Scholarship Program, eligibility of resident/nonresident students for enrollment, use of medication, administration of opioid antagonists, letters of reference, bus operator certification and more.

The finance committee of the city of Lewisburg will meet in regular session Tuesday, July 12, at 7 p.m. in the Paul R. Cooley Council Chamber of city hall. On the agenda: Chapman Technical Group contract approval for stormwater comprehensive study; Arts and Humanities Fund request – West Virginia Jazz Orchestra; Water treatment plant – sediment pond cleaning bid approval; approval of two alternate main water line extensions; and more.

The Greenbrier County Commission will meet Wednesday, July 12, at 10 a.m. in room 132 of the courthouse in Lewisburg. The meeting is also available via livestream from www.facebook.com/gbrcourthouse/. On the agenda: consider new hire for the Home Confinement to fill a vacancy; consider signing Resolution #8 – Big Draft Waterline Extension Project (TIF project);
consider adoption of the updated State Building Code, 87CSR4, and appendix (second notice). A copy of the State Building Code, 87CSR4, is available on the secretary of state’s website at: https://apps.sos.wv.gov/adlaw/csr/readfile.aspx?DocId=55263&Format=PDF; a hardcopy along with the appendix proposed for adoption is available for viewing in the Greenbrier County Planning and Permits office; construction project; and more.
