LEWISBURG (WVDN) – Lewisburg City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m., at Lewisburg City Hall, 942 Washington Street West.
On the agenda: public hearing and second reading on a proposed ordinance of the city titled: An ordinance authorizing and approving the conveyance of real property, fixtures and personal property and appurtenances to the city of Lewisburg building commission, West Virginia, for the purpose of facilitating the design, acquisition, construction and equipping of a public works building to be constructed on real property owned by the city of Lewisburg, West Virginia by the city of Lewisburg on behalf of the city of Lewisburg building commission; the leasing of such real property and all project improvements and appurtenances thereto by the city of Lewisburg from the city of Lewisburg building commission; the sale and issuance by the city of Lewisburg building commission of its not to exceed $5,000,000 principal amount of lease revenue bonds, in one or more series; authorizing the execution and delivery of an agreement and lease and other instruments and authorizing and approving other documents and matters relating to the terms and security of such bonds; and providing for other matters in connection therewith;
Also, consider on first reading and act upon a proposed city ordinance titled: Ordinance authorizing the acquisition and construction of certain additions, betterments and improvements to the existing public waterworks facilities of the city of Lewisburg, and the financing of the cost, not otherwise provided thereof, through the issuance by the city of Lewisburg of not more than $10,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 a (united states department of agriculture), not more than $10,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 b (united states department of agriculture); not more than $10,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 c (united states department of agriculture); not more than $10,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 d (united states department of agriculture); and not more than $10,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 e (united states department of agriculture) in five or more series; defining and prescribing the terms and provisions of the bonds; providing generally for the rights and remedies of and security for the holder of the bonds; and providing when this ordinance shall take effect.
And, consider on first reading and act upon a proposed city ordinance titled: Ordinance authorizing the acquisition and construction of certain additions, betterments and improvements to the existing public waterworks facilities of the city of Lewisburg, and the financing of the cost, not otherwise provided thereof, through the issuance by the city of Lewisburg of not more than $15,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water revenue bonds, series 2022 f (West Virginnia Infrastructure Fund) in one or more series; defining and prescribing the terms and provisions of the bonds; providing generally for the rights and remedies of and security for the holder of the bonds; and providing when this ordinance shall take effect.
And, consider on first reading and act upon a proposed city ordinance titled: ordinance authorizing the refunding of the water revenue bonds, series 2009 a, water revenue bonds, series 2012 a and water revenue bonds, series 2013 a, and the financing of the cost, not otherwise provided thereof, through the issuance by the city of Lewisburg of not more than $5,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of water refunding revenue bonds, series 2022 a (bank qualified), in one or more series; defining and prescribing the terms and provisions of the bonds; providing generally for the rights and remedies of and security for the holder of the bonds; and providing when this ordinance shall take effect.
