CHARLESTON, (W.Va.)– The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO) continues its season with another offering in the ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops series, Harry Potter vs. Star Wars on Saturday, March 19 in Charleston; Sunday, March 20 in Parkersburg; and Monday, March 21 in Clarksburg.

Harry Potter vs. Star Wars features music from all films from both epic series. With music by John Williams, along with Patrick Doyle, Nicholas Hooper, and Alexander Desplat, this concert will take you on a fantastic journey through the wizarding world of Harry Potter and to a galaxy far, far away. The audience is encouraged to wear their favorite wizard robes or Star Wars costumes. Please note: this concert will be presented without films.

The ZMM Architects & Engineers Pops Series concert will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 pm at the Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences in WV and is made possible with additional support from City National Bank and the Toyota WV Foundation. Tickets for the Charleston performance start at $19 and are available at wvsymphony.org, by visiting the Clay Center Box Office, or by calling 304.561.3570.

The WVSO will also perform Harry Potter vs. Star Wars at Blennerhassett School in Parkersburg beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20. Hosted by the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra of Parkersburg, tickets for the concert are starting at $25 for adults or $10 for students and are available at wvsop.org, at the door, or by calling 888.699.8767 (MYWVSOP).

The final showing of Harry Potter vs. Star Wars will be a special schools-only performance Monday, March 21 at 9:45 a.m. at the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center in Clarksburg thanks to generous support from EQT Corporation. Contact Betty King at bking@wvsymphony.org for more information about the Clarksburg performance.

In order to maintain the health and safety of the WVSO’s patrons, musicians, and staff, for all patrons over the age of 2, masks will be required to be worn for the duration of the concert, regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, the WVSO asks that attendees try to maintain a distance between others while in common spaces, such as the Ticketing Lobby, Grand Lobby, bathrooms, etc. The WVSO encourages all eligible individuals to get vaccinated to reduce the potential of unknowingly spreading COVID-19.

The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra is West Virginia’s premier performing arts organization, presenting classical and pops concerts annually throughout the Mountain State. Currently in its 83rd season, the WVSO is a proud member of the community and enriches the region by providing affordable, high-quality concerts, collaborations with West Virginia arts organizations and a nationally award-winning education program.
