Yesterday, Sen. Joe Manchin toured the Schoolhouse Hotel in White Sulphur Springs. The hotel, set to be open in the second quarter of this year, is the first fully ADA-accessible hotel in the United States.
Manchin also toured Main Street to see the new businesses that line the Spa City’s streets. Manchin celebrated the Spa City’s economic revitalization after the devastating flood in June 2016 that destroyed parts of the town and claimed the lives of eight citizens.
“West Virginians don’t give up,” Manchin said. “We can’t give up.”
See the Wednesday, Feb. 23, issue of The West Virginia Daily News for in-depth coverage of Manchin’s visit.
