Greenbrier County 4-H would like to invite local families to gather for an event full of food, fun, and activities at the 17th Annual Venison Cooking Contest, Auction, and Bingo!
In effort to provide financial support to Greenbrier County Youth to attend 4-H Summer Camps, the Greenbrier County 4-H Leaders Association has arranged an assortment of activities for all to enjoy on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the Cecil Underwood Building at the State Fair of West Virginia. Both youth and adults are invited to enter the Annual Venison Cooking Contest to showcase the best venison dishes in Greenbrier County! All contestants have a chance to win cash prizes and bragging rights over the rest of the contestants. Contest entries must arrive between 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. and judging will start at 2:00 p.m.
Bingo will start at 2:30 p.m. hosting a total of 17 games with prizes from local home demonstrators such as: Showman’s Edge Jewelry, Body and Sol, The Asylum, Scentsy, Creative Collections, Photography Sessions, just to name a few. You can purchase BINGO tickets in advance for only $20 by coming by the Greenbrier County WVU Extension Office or buy them for $25 on the day of the event.
A live auction will begin at 4:30 p.m. that will have items including: Quilts, paintings, afghan, homemade goodies, dinner packages, train rides, mega passes, weekend getaways, and gate admission to the State Fair of WV, and much, much more donated by 4-H members, 4-H alumni, and supporters. There will be activities, games and much more to keep youth busy throughout the evening.
