A fugitive wanted on a felony charge in the state of Maryland was arrested at the Alder Mobile Home Park in Rainelle on Wednesday, December 22.
According to Rainelle Police Chief JP Stevens, Jacob James Bennett had a warrant for his arrest issued by the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland after he failed to appear in court on a felony drug charge. He was staying in one of the homes at Alder Mobile Home Park on Ohio Avenue at the time of his arrest.
Bennett is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail in lieu of an extradition hearing before a Greenbrier County Circuit Court judge.
