Hinton – A free community Christmas Dinner will be served on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. It is take away only and begins at 3 p.m.
Kids can take a hayride with Santa on Thursday, Dec. 23 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Bellepoint Park.
The Ritz Theater will be closed on Dec. 24, however, they will be open on Christmas Day for both the 4 and 7 p.m. showings of Spiderman: No Way Home.
Preachin’ in the Park will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. in Hinton City Park.
The Ritz Theater will be showing a free Christmas movie on Thursday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m.
Alderson – The Riverview Cafe will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24.
Fritz’s Pharmacy will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 24 but will be closed on Christmas Day.
The Alderson Library continues its Wolf Creek Calendar fundraiser. Each calendar is $18.
Quinwood – The Quinwood Community Library announced that thanks to generous donations, they have already been able to purchase 13 new books. They are still accepting donations to continue to update its inventory.
Marlinton – The Marlinton Town Office is closing at noon on Dec. 23 and will remain closed until Monday, Dec. 27. Garbage pick-up for Friday, Dec. 24 is rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 27.
The McClintic Library is holding a winter book sale throughout December.
Ronceverte – The Ronceverte Fire Department’s annual Stocking Giveaway will take place on Friday, Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. on Island Park. The event is a drive-thru and the lineup will begin at 1:30.
White Sulphur Springs – The White Sulphur Springs Fire Department’s Santa Parade will take place on Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. The Fire Department will escort Santa through town to see all of the children, listen for the siren to know when he is getting close.
The last for Barn wood Living’s Pajama and Book Drive is Dec. 22.
All areas – Mountain Transit Authority will be closed on Dec. 24 and 27.
