A Rupert man is now at Southern Regional Jail on a felony charge of breaking and entering.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Greenbrier County, an officer with the Rupert Police Department received information that Logan Kane Brown, 26, had entered a Rupert home and took a Heritage Rough Rider Revolver 22LR on November 2. The revolver was unique in that it had American flag handles.
During his investigation, the officer noted that witnesses had come forward to state that Brown had tried to sell them the revolver. Brown was eventually able to successfully trade the firearm to one of the individuals.
The officer obtained a warrant for Brown’s arrest on November 23 and a successful arrest was made on December 6.
Brown’s surety/cash bail has been set at $10,000.
