Rupert – The Rupert Volunteer Fire Department’s First Annual Christmas Bash will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11 between 6 and 8 p.m. Each child will receive a toy and there will be Photo opportunities with Santa and the Grinch.

Marlinton – The Game Board Night at the McClintic Public Library that was supposed to take place on Nov. 30 has been rescheduled for Dec. 7 between 6 and 8 p.m.
All Marlinton Elementary students in grades 3 – 5 who are attending the ski trip on Dec. 9 need to bring snow pants and winter gloves on Monday, Dec. 6 for inventory to ensure everyone has what they need.
The Marlinton Town Council is holding a meeting on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

Union – A blood drive will be held at the Monroe County Public Library in Union on Friday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome or to make an appointment, call 304-772-4067 or 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Ronceverte – The Ronceverte Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and will take place at the library.
Christmas in Ronceverte is taking place on Dec. 6. This includes the parade as well as photos with Santa, carols, chili and more.

Rainelle – Support groups including AA meet every Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Rainelle UMC. These support groups are open to anyone.

Quinwood – The Quinwood Community Library asks that anyone looking for a local organization to donate to this holiday season consider the library. They want to purchase new and updated books in the coming year and would appreciate any help from the community. Donations can be mailed to Quinwood Community Library, P.O. Box 194 Quinwood WV 25981

White Sulphur Springs – Harpist Leah Trent is performing Christmas music at the White Sulphur Springs Public Library on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. The concert is free to attend and will be followed by a reception.

Hinton – After a temporary shut down due to malfunctioning equipment, The Ritz Theater has reopened and is once again showing movies, including the series of free Christmas movies.
