On Friday, December 3, 2021, in conjunction with the Greenbrier County School Board, members of the Greenbrier County Sherriff’s Office, along with the Lewisburg and Alderson Police Departments conducted a K-9 search and sniff at Greenbrier West High School. This search was conducted utilizing K-9s from the departments memtioned above.
The purpose of this K-9 search and sniff is part of an ongoing effort to try and deter anyone from bringing drugs onto or using drugs on school property.
The searches are conducted periodically at schools throughout Greenbrier County at random times.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner with the Greenbrier County School Board during these proactive efforts to keep our schools safe and free of drugs. The safety of students, faculty and staff is of paramount importance to all involved. We appreciate the assistance given to us by the Lewisburg and Alderson Police Departments as well.
