A Monroe County man is in jail once more after allegedly violating a domestic violence protective order granted to his former girlfriend. Justin Lee Lephew, 37, of Second Creek is again in the custody of Greenbrier County Corrections officials.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to investigate the possible violation, after the 911 center received a phone call from the victim.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim advised the 911 Center that Lephew “had contacted her via telephone to come pick him up ,” and that “it would be suspicious if she didn’t.”
Deputies attempted to contact the victim, but were unable to reach her. Approximately two hours later, the victim again phoned the 911 Center, advising that she was traveling to pick Lephew up, but was frightened that after doing so “he would kill her.”
A few minutes past 10 p.m., deputies located the victim’s vehicle at Marathon gas station in White Sulphur Springs. Both the victim and Lephew were present in the vehicle. Lephew was subsequently taken into custody.
Justin Lee Lephew is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash-bond or surety.
