Rupert – The Hidden Mountain Treasures band is performing at the Rupert Library on Saturday, Nov. 20. The performance will take place between 3 and 5 p.m.
Marlinton – The Pocahontas County libraries, including the McClintic Library in Marlinton is accepting donations of canned goods through the remainder of November. Anyone who donated and has a late book fee will have the fine waived. The donated items will go to one of three food pantries in Pocahontas County.

Union – The Holiday Decorating Contest is in full swing in Union. Participants must enter no later than Nov. 29.
Rainelle – The Rainelle Firemenettes are holding a Soup Luncheon on Nov. 20 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will be a Christmas wreath raffle during the event.
Peterstown – The Town of Peterstown is holding a Deck the Door Contest for local businesses. All participating businesses must have their doors decorated no later than Nov. 1.
Ronceverte – The Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Paint Night fundraiser for the Christmas Stocking Fund. The event will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. RSVP on the Facebook event page or by calling or texting either 304-647-8314 or 304-667-9627.
White Sulphur Springs – Barnwood Living in White Sulphur Springs is holding a Pajama & Book Drive for Family Refuge Center and the Children’s Home Society. Donations may be dropped off at the store or mailed to Barnwood Living, 574 W Main Street, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986.

Hinton – Registration is open for the Santa Sprint 5K. Digital forms are available on the Summers County Athletics and Bobcat Nation Facebook pages. Physical forms may be picked up at Summers County High School and the Summers County Health Department. Registration cost is $15 and must be completed no later than Nov. 27.
The REACHH Mobile Food Pantry will be at various places in the county on Nov. 15, 16, 17 and 18.
The Otter Cafe, part of Otter and Oak, is opening at 10 a.m. on Nov. 20.
Renick – The Blessing Box at the Renick Community Center has been freshly stocked. Because some items may freeze, some things may not be in the box, if someone has a specific need, they are encouraged to message the center’s Facebook page.
