West Union – The Greenbrier West Cavaliers volleyball squad improved to 15-7 on the season with a tri-match sweep of host Doddridge County (25-23, 25-15) and co-visitors Clay-Battelle (25-11, 25-9) on Tuesday night. Trailing twice in set one to the Bulldogs, the Lady Cavaliers would come back from a three-point deficit to take the lead on the strength of Desteney Walker’s serves to win 25-23. In set two, the Lady Cavaliers got their bearings and never trailed, defeating Doddridge 25-15. In the second match, the Lady Cavaliers overpowered the Cee-Bees. Trailing by two, Walker once again went on an 8-point tear to pull away in set one. Greenbrier West never trailed in set two, winning 25-9 going away.
