Hinton – The REACHH Trunk or Treat event will be held on Oct. 23 at Summit Community Bank between 5 and 7 p.m. This is also Drug Take-Back Day. Because of this, the Summers County Sheriff’s Department will have their drug take-back box at the event.
The Mobile Food Pantry will be at the old Magic Mart building on Oct. 18, Summers Landing on Oct. 19, Green Sulphur Fire Department on Oct. 20, Hinton House on Oct. 21, Senior Center Drop Off on Oct. 22 and Greenbrier Terrace on Oct. 23. All locations will take place between 10 a.m. and noon.
The Summers County Library will be holding its weekly walking book club meeting on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at Bellepoint Park.
Lewisburg – The Hillbilly Gypsies with Corey Lee McQuade will be performing at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
Marlinton – There will be a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Wednesday, Oct. 20 between 4 and 6 p.m. on the Greenbrier River Trail by the Marlinton Wellness Center. The first 50 people to complete the will receive a Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt.
Union – There will be a first aid and CPR class on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. at the Monroe County Library in Union. Seating is limited, call 304-772-4067 to reserve your spot.
Rainelle – The Rainelle Water Department will be flushing lines on Monday, October, 25 from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m.
