Two men have now been arrested in Rainelle after allegedly kicking down an apartment door while the victim was still inside and stealing a game station and $380 in cash.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Greenbrier County, a Rainelle Police Officer was dispatched to a call at approximately 10:51 p.m. on Oct. 7, regarding a breaking and entering.
Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim who stated that Justin William Wright, 33, of Rainelle, and Frederick Blaine Nestor, 18, of Birch River, had just kicked in the door to his apartment and stole from him.
A short time later, at around 11:14 p.m., the officer noticed Wright walking down a Rainelle street and brought him into the station for questioning.
During the officer’s interview, Wright said that he and Nestor went to the apartment to take the game station because he had sold it to the victim, but the victim didn’t pay the full amount, the complaint alleges. An arrest warrant was then issued for Nestor.
The following day, the officer was able to locate Nestor and bring him in for questioning. Nestor also stated that he and Wright went to the apartment to retrieve the game station, the complaint continues.
Both men had a prior arrest for grand larceny and were out on a criminal bail bond. They were both wearing GPS ankle tracking monitors, which placed them at the apartment at the time of the burglary, the officer stated.
Both men were taken to Southern Regional Jail where they face one felony charge of burglary and one felony charge of conspiracy. The prior criminal bond will be revoked, the officer noted.
A new surety/cash bail for Nestor has been set at $7,500.
No bond has been set for Wright.
