Hinton — Construction of “The Point” formerly known as Bellepoint River Access has been completed.
The Summers County Library Walking Book Club will meet on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. at Bellepoint Park. Walkers can bring their children, even young children in strollers, as well as well-behaved pets on leashes to enjoy the walk as well.
The Guest House is a finalist in WV Living’s Best of West Virginia in the Best Bed and Breakfast category. Voting lasts until Oct. 3. Each person can vote once per day on the WV Living website.

White Sulphur Springs — 50 East Casual Dining & Spirits is holding a Musical BINGO Night on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m.
A pickleball fundraiser is being held for United Way of Greenbrier Valley on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. until noon. The fundraiser will take place at 292 Memorial Street in White Sulphur Springs. The cost is $50 per player. Players can sign up ahead of time at www.hashtagwv.com.

Ronceverte — The Ronceverte City Police Department is hiring for the position of a full-time officer. Applications are available at the Ronceverte City Hall Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The deadline for applications to be submitted is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1.

Rupert — Access to the Rupert Town Hall has been restricted due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the area. All business will be conducted via telephone or payment dropbox. For more information call 304-392-5682 or 304-392-6344.

Renick — There will be a good giveaway at Renick Park on Thursday, Sept. 30 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. All West Virginia residents are eligible for this giveaway.

Lewisburg — Multiple events are happening at Carnegie Hall WV in Lewisburg. Session two of making silk paper will be held on Sept. 27 and 28. The cost is $80 for members and $90 for non-members. Learning to make a quilted table runner will be held on Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The cost is $95 for members and $105 for non-members.

Alderson — The Alderson Public Library has several upcoming items including a program involving My Fairy Lantern. The Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, Sept. 27. The library now has Wolfcreek 2022 calendars for sale. For more information, call the library at 304-445-7221.
