LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Family Refuge Center (FRC) is proud to announce the launch of Uproot and Blossom, a capital campaign dedicated to securing a new permanent office space that will strengthen the organization’s ability to serve survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking across Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas Counties.
For more than four decades, FRC has provided lifesaving services including emergency shelter, crisis intervention, advocacy, therapy, supervised visitation, and community education. As demand for services continues to grow, the organization’s current office space no longer meets the needs of staff, clients, or expanding programs.
“Uproot and Blossom reflects both our history and our future,” said Stephanie Moore, Executive Director of Family Refuge Center. “We are rooted in our mission, but we are ready to blossom into a space that allows us to serve more families, offer more resources, and create a safer, more welcoming environment for survivors.”
Why a New Office Space Matters
A larger, purposeful designed will allow FRC to:
- Expand trauma-informed counseling and advocacy services
- Increase privacy and safety for survivors seeking help
- Enhance supervised visitation and exchange programs
- Provide more space for youth education, community training, and outreach
- Strengthen collaboration with partner agencies
Community Support is Essential
FRC invites individuals, businesses, civic groups, and philanthropic partners to join the Uproot and Blossom campaign. Contributions will directly support the purchase and renovation of the new office space, ensuring that survivors have access to safe, confidential, and compassionate services for years to come.
