FAIRLEA- McKinley Tabor, 10 years old from Marie, WV, has been involved with the State Fair of West Virginia starting at 10 months old with her family, Circle T Farm.
She began her show career competing in leadline classes and then as she grew older, her miniature horses Elsa and Anna. McKinley began showing draft horses at the age of six and has competed in the Jr. Cart class and Best Farm Team class where she has won many blue ribbons.
During the 2026 State Fair of West Virginia, McKinley added a few more classes to her list of accomplishments and competed and placed in the ribbons in the Draft Horse Under Saddle class riding the matriarch of Circle T Farm, Donna. She also competed with Duke and Lance in the Ladies Best Team to Hitch Wagon class where she was awarded the 1st place blue ribbon amongst a class of adults.
Her family and friends are proud of the young horsewoman she is becoming and are excited to see where her future in the horse industry leads.
McKinley works hard on her family farm, caring for two retired horses and raising her bottle calf Lucky Linda all on her own, and also keeps good
grades in school.
In 2027, McKinley plans to return to the State Fair of West Virginia with her beloved horses and continue to compete in the draft horse classes and expand her knowledge and abilities within the industry.
