NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Ronceverte, a municipal corporation, will hold a public hearing after the First Reading, which occurred on August 10, 2026, regarding a proposed ordinance authorizing the sale and transfer of the City’s water and wastewater systems to West Virginia-American Water Company, including the City of Ronceverte’s water transmission and distribution facilities, storage tanks, booster stations, meters, hydrants, service lines and related facilities; and wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment facilities.
The City proposes to sell the wastewater collection and treatment system and water distribution system to West Virginia-American Water Company pursuant to W. Va. Code § 8-12-17 on the terms, conditions, and limitations substantially set forth in a proposed agreement of purchase between the City of Ronceverte, and West Virginia-American Water Company, a true copy of which is available for review at City Hall located at 124 Cedar Street, Ronceverte, West Virginia.
A public hearing will be held at the Ronceverte Fire Department Building located at 722 Ronceverte Avenue, West Virginia, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The City Council is expected to consider the ordinance on second reading and final passage on August 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ronceverte Fire Department Building, located at 722 Ronceverte Avenue, West Virginia.
Interested parties may appear and be heard at such times with respect to the passage of the proposed Ordinance. A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available at City Hall.
