FAIRLEA- Country music superstar Dierks Bentley has spent more than two decades as one of the genre’s most successful and consistent performers. Since making his major-label debut in 2003 with the hit single “What Was I Thinkin’,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, Bentley has built an impressive career marked by chart-topping albums, sold-out tours and a reputation for energetic live performances. Over the years, he has released multiple platinum-selling albums and a long list of hit singles, including “Come a Little Closer,” “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go),” “Sideways,” “5-1-5-0,” “Drunk on a Plane,” “Somewhere on a Beach,” “Woman, Amen,” and “Gone.” His music blends traditional country roots with modern influences, helping him remain one of the genre’s most recognizable artists.

Bentley’s career has been highlighted by numerous accolades, including 14 Grammy Award nominations, multiple Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards, and membership in the Grand Ole Opry, one of country music’s highest honors. He has also headlined some of the industry’s biggest tours and collaborated with artists such as Brothers Osborne, Miranda Lambert, Elle King and Hardy.

Known for his authenticity and down to earth personality which makes a strong connection with fans, Bentley has consistently balanced radio success with a deep appreciation for bluegrass and traditional country music, broadening his appeal across generations of listeners.

Fans will have the opportunity to see Bentley perform when he takes the stage at the State Fair of West Virginia on Friday, Aug. 21, as part of the fair’s 2026 concert series.

With more than 20 years of hit songs, an award-winning career and a reputation for delivering high-energy concerts, Bentley’s appearance is expected to be one of the marquee events of this year’s State Fair, offering fans an evening filled with many of country music’s biggest hits.
