Greenbrier County Commission Agenda for Aug. 11 Meeting

LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Greenbrier County Commission will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, in Room 203 of the new addition at the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook at facebook.com/gbrcourthouse and on YouTube at youtube.com/@GreenbrierCo.

The full agenda is as follows:

Prelude
— Opening Invocation
— Pledge of Allegiance
— Call to Order

Regular Business
— Approve minutes of the July 21, 2026, regular meeting.
— Settlements of Estates, presented by Mary Ingles, Fiduciary Supervisor: Carl Sylvester Simmons Sr., Kester Dean Ramsey, Charles James Danley and Edward Wilson Rock.
— Exonerations/County Splits/Consolidations, presented by Joe Darnell, Assessor.

Financial Approvals — Robin McCullough, County Clerk
— Arts and Recreation Transfer
— Budget Revisions
— Line Item Transfer
— Pay Bills

New Business

  1. Consider Resolution No. 8 for the Mapledale Water Storage Tank Project, WSS TIF.
  2. Consider Resolution No. 6 for The Ridges Project, WSS TIF.
  3. Confirm separation of employment for Kyle Brisendine from the Greenbrier County 911 Communication Center, effective immediately. Date of hire: April 8, 2025.
  4. Consider a request from the Greenbrier County 911 Communication Center to change the status of Kelsey Cook (Doss) from full-time to part-time, effective Aug. 9, 2026.
  5. Consider an agreement with Phil Reed Engineering regarding work at Andrew Lewis Park.
  6. Update from the commission regarding the updated zoning ordinance and schedule a public hearing.
  7. Personnel discussion, Planning Office.

The commission also announces that a public hearing on hotel occupancy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, and at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.
