Josh White Racing (JWR) is proud to announce that veteran dirt racer, mechanic and fabricator Will Brogan—father of current JWR driver Buddy Brogan—has officially joined the organization.

Brogan recently made his debut with the team at Skyline Speedway in a Sport Mod acquired from Buddy. After a solid showing in which he shook off the cobwebs to finish sixth in the B-Main—just two positions behind Josh White—Brogan officially decided to bring his driving talents and mechanical expertise to JWR.

A second-generation racer whose father introduced him to the sport, Brogan has competed in dirt-track racing for 20 years. He boasts an impressive résumé that includes approximately 40 feature victories and eight track championships.

His titles include three championships at Beckley Motor Speedway, two at I-77 Speedway, an additional I-77 championship in the 358 Modified division and two championships at O’Brien Speedway. Brogan is also a former American Motor Racing Association Rookie of the Year.

Brogan took a brief hiatus from dirt racing in 2021 following the tragic loss of his brother and racing companion, Paul Brogan, to COVID-19. For the past three years, Brogan channeled his passion into drag racing by building and competing in a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. He is now eager to return to his dirt-racing roots alongside Josh and the JWR team.

“I am so excited to be able to be a part of a team like JWR,” Brogan said. “I see how much fun and how focused y’all are to win and run up front, and I want to be part of that. Me and my wife have been working hard to get this together and got it out there this past weekend. Buddy and Josh have helped me a lot with parts and odds and ends to get out there and go in circles.”

Beyond his driving ability, Brogan brings invaluable technical expertise to Josh White Racing. His extensive knowledge as a welder, mechanic and engine builder will strengthen several areas of the JWR operation.

The connection between White and Brogan extends far beyond the racetrack. The two have known each other for nearly two decades, having worked together at AutoZone shortly after White’s service in the United States Marine Corps. Brogan also knew White’s grandfather, further cementing their long-standing relationship.

“I am proud to have Will Brogan, Buddy’s dad, join us here at Josh White Racing,” said Josh White. “What he brings to JWR is not just a race-winning résumé, but expertise in many areas that will make the team better. Will also raises the morale at JWR even higher. I’ve known Will for most of my life and have always thought the world of him. He’s someone I looked up to through the years, and to have him join my organization is surreal. Welcome to JWR, Will!”

While Brogan is currently seeking additional sponsorship, he proudly represents Josh White Racing’s dedicated partners on the track, including Bilson Arms, Deep Cover Outdoors, True North, Burning Rubber Radio and Red Hot Country Radio.
