LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — The Greenbrier County Commission will hold its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in Room 203 of the new addition at the Greenbrier County Courthouse. The meeting will be livestreamed on Facebook at facebook.com/gbrcourthouse and on YouTube at youtube.com/@GreenbrierCo.

The session will open with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance before moving into regular business, which includes approval of minutes, estate settlements, financial approvals and several new business items. A public hearing on an updated zoning ordinance is also scheduled for the same evening.

Regular Business
— Approve minutes of the June 23, 2026, regular meeting.
— Settlements of Estates, presented by Mary Ingles, Fiduciary Supervisor: Shirley Alberta Munchbach, Herbert Stanley Montgomery, Lucky Randolph Richmond, Miranda Dawn Gray, Paul S. Burns, Gracie Ellen Rexrode, Shelby Jean Bryant and Rozena C. Hobart.
— Exonerations/County Splits/Consolidations, presented by Joe Darnell, Assessor.

Financial Approvals — Robin McCullough, County Clerk
— Arts and Recreation Transfer
— Budget Revisions
— Line Item Transfer
— Pay Bills

New Business

  1. Consider proposals for mowing and trimming of the Meadow River Trail.
  2. Consider Resolution No. 8 for the Mapledale Water Storage Tank Project, WSS TIF.
  3. Consider Resolution No. 5 for The Ridges Project, WSS TIF.
  4. Consider Draw Request No. 20 for the GigReady Broadband project.
  5. Discussion of increasing the rate of occupancy tax.

A public hearing on the updated zoning ordinance will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds.
