ALDERSON, W.Va. — The Alderson Artisans Gallery will present a showing of handwoven baskets by artist Ashleigh Smithson of Appalachian Basketcase from July 11 through Aug. 21.
An opening reception will be held July 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
Smithson, a West Virginia basket maker, will share her handwoven, heritage-style baskets throughout the show’s run.
Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
