MAXWELTON- The Maxwelton Ruritan Club is a community service organization that has been serving the community since 1953.
Everyone that is familiar with the Maxwelton Ruritan recognizes them as the Ice Cream Club because each year the members volunteer selling ice cream at the State Fair of WV. All proceeds from the sales go directly to the local community.
They give donations each year to the Frankford Fire Department, CASA, Greenbrier East HOSA program, Project Graduation, Family Refuge Center, and many other worthy organizations.
They have given donations to help replace the playground equipment at Mackey Park and provide scholarships to deserving seniors at Greenbrier East High School.
Recently, President Bill Zink, presented scholarships at the Awards program for GEHS students on May 19, 2026. Congratulations to the following recipients:

The Maxwelton Ruritan Club is currently seeking additional members to help make our community a better place to live, work and raise a family. The club meets the fourth Thursday of each month at the Henning Church of God Fellowship Hall on Vago Road. We encourage you to consider adding volunteer to your resume and give us a visit.
