United Way of Greenbrier Valley Announces 2026 Community Impact Grant Recipients

United Way of Greenbrier Valley has announced its 2026 Community Impact Grant recipients. Funding was awarded to nonprofit organizations serving residents across Greenbrier, Monroe, and Pocahontas counties through support from workplace campaigns, corporate partnerships, individual contributions, and other community giving efforts.

The grants support programs addressing a variety of community needs, including food assistance, housing and emergency support, education, health services, youth programs, and family resources throughout the Greenbrier Valley region. United Way of Greenbrier Valley continues to invest in local programs and partnerships focused on improving quality of life and expanding access to essential services across the region.

2026 UWGBV Partner Organizations and Funded Programs:

– Alderson Hospitality House (Healthy Food, Happy Families)
– Appalachia Service Project (Home Repair and Replacement)
– Bethlehem Farm, Inc (Repairing Homes, Renewing Communities)
– Carnegie Hall, Inc (Kids’ College Scholarships)
– Catholic Charities West Virginia, Inc (Emergency Assistance Program)
– Child and Youth Advocacy Center (Prevention and Education)
– Children’s Home Society of West Virginia (Support for The Independent Living Program’s Young Adults)
– Communities in Schools of Greenbrier (Integrated Student Supports)
– Davis Stuart, Inc (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) (Program)
– Family Refuge Center (Youth Enrichment and Prevention)
– Fruits of Labor (The Seed Project)
– Gateway Industries (Emergency Assistance for Participants)
– God’s Way Home (Financial Peace University & Workforce Readiness)
– Greenbrier County Committee on Aging, Inc (Senior Nutrition)
– Greenbrier Valley Hellbenders Youth Mountain Bike Team (Coach’s Summit, Racer Scholarships, New Bikes)
– Greenbrier Valley Theatre (Youth Education Program)

– High Rocks Education Corporation (The Hub)
– HospiceCare (Peyton Hospice House Services)
– Monroe Coalition for Children and Families (FCOC Flex Fund/Feed JMHS Students)
– Monroe Early Childhood Association, Inc (Childcare Scholarships)
– Northern Greenbrier Latchkey Kids, Inc (Childcare Scholarships)
– Pocahontas County Family Resource Network (Warming Hands and Hearts)
– Pocahontas County Senior Citizens (Meals on Wheels)
– Reining Warriors (Equine Therapy Scholarships)
– Renick Community Center (Non-food Pantry)
– Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley (Gwen’s Meals)
– The MARVEL Center (MARVEL Meal Program)
– The Salvation Army of Beckley (Greenbrier Angel Tree)
– Wellspring of Greenbrier, Inc (Choice Food Pantry)

United Way of Greenbrier Valley allocated over $252,000 to these community organizations that support United Way’s four impact areas: Financial Security, Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, and Community Resiliency.

The mission of the United Way of Greenbrier Valley is to improve lives and build a stronger community by bringing people and organizations together to respond to local needs, foster collaboration, and empower individuals and families.
