CHARLESTON- The General Andrew Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was represented by Regent Deborah Phillips and Major Susan Bossart, Retired Air National Guard, at the Armed Forces Day Parade in South Charleston.
Major Bossart retired after 20 years as a flight nurse for the 137th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron from the Oklahoma National Guard.
Major Bossart was highly decorated for her service receiving the Meritorious Service Medal, Commendation Medal and the Aerial Achievement Medal. Major Bossart served in Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Following her retirement, Major Bossart returned to her hometown of Lewisburg, WV.
