KUZTOWN, Pa. – The 51-win Glenville State Softball program has won the Atlantic Super Regional and punched their ticket to the 2026 NCAA DII Women’s College World Series! The Pioneers are now just one of eight teams remaining, and will make their way to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the program’s first-ever appearance in the World Series. GSU hoisted the Regional championship trophy after winning a deciding game three, 7-3, as the Pioneers fell in the second game of the best-of-three series earlier in the afternoon.

GSU 3 | Kutztown 7
Emma McLean started the scoring in the 2nd, ripping a double in the gap to score Kylee Goodman. The Golden Bears took the lead the following inning on a single, but GSU quickly tied things up in the bottom half of the 3rd on a not-so surprising Delaney Warnick home run. Alexis Harward gave the Pioneers the lead back in the 4th with an RBI single down the right field line, however, the long ball came alive for Kutztown in the final two innings.

Jamie Madara tied it in the 6th with a solo shot, then a pair of Golden Bears knocked two-run homers out of the park in the 7th to make it a 7-3 game. Just like the last two weekends, the Pioneers season would come down to a winner-take-all final contest.

GSU 7 | Kutztown 3
For the 10th straight time, the Pioneers were able win an elimination game with their backs against the wall. Though this was the first time GSU wasn’t the team needing to win two games on the same day, the Cinderella story lived on. With a slight lineup shift, Delaney Warnick and Zailees Seda smoked back-to-back RBI doubles down the right field line to go up 2-0 early. That lead would be added onto in the 3rd, when, can you guess it? Warnick homered for the third time in the Supers and for the 19th time this season to make it 3-0.

In the fourth, Emma McLean joined in on the fun with a line drive two-run home run to boost the advantage to five runs. Seda ripped her second double of the game and notched two more RBIs with a smoker in the gap, putting herself on second as the game-winning run in the 5th. Kutztown avoided early elimination, and got back into the game with a solo shot in the 6th and a pair of runs in the 7th. Kylie Burdick weathered the storm and was rewarded with a ticket to Tennessee by forcing the game-clinching flyout to Alexis Harward.

Up Next For The Pioneers
The Pioneers now await their seeding and matchup for the 2026 NCAA DII Women’s College World Series. GSU will play on Thursday (May 28) at Chattanooga’s Frost Stadium in a double elimination formatted tournament. Glenville State Athletics will release more information once it becomes available.
